AI as Your New Teammate: The Mindset Shift in Software Development

Onuralp Taner

It’s a new mindset where AI agents work as junior developers alongside you.

In this talk, you’ll see how AI-native development turns plain descriptions into structured tasks, assigns routine work to agents like Devin.ai, and uses advanced copilots to build complex features.

Through real examples and a live demo, you’ll learn how to reduce delivery time, improve quality, and create a culture where humans and AI build software together.

Simulating Interactive User Behaviour via Reinforcement Learning

Florian Fischer

Automated user testing offers great potential for developing interfaces and intelligent systems, as it enables us to gain initial insights into user behaviour early in the design process. Biomechanical simulations of the human body and visuomotor control systems are particularly promising, as they provide information about the users’ physiological state. In this talk, I will demonstrate how musculoskeletal models can be trained using reinforcement learning to simulate, predict and understand the interactive behaviour of real users. I will also present User-in-the-Box: a modular simulation framework for evaluating and benchmarking interface designs and interaction techniques prior to prototype testing. The resulting ‘simulated users’ allow us to assess the impact of design choices on performance, strategies, and ergonomic factors such as physiological fatigue. I will conclude with a discussion of the untapped potential of biomechanical user simulations for VR/AR, rehabilitation, assistive technology, and inclusive design.
